Barry Ackroyd is an English Cinematographer. He was the Director of Photography for The Newsroom pilot "We Just Decided To". Todd McMullen took over the Director of Photography role for the first season after a full season was ordered. He is known for his work on the films United 93, The Hurt Locker, Green Zone, and Contraband. He won the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Award for Best Cinematography for The Hurt Locker in 2006. He also frequently works with British director Ken Loach including the films The Wind That Shakes The Barley, Ae Fond Kiss..., Sweet Sixteen, The Navigator, Bread and Roses and My Name is Joe.
