Jennifer "Jenna" Johnson, commonly called Jenny, is a college student. She attended a question and answer session at Northwestern University to speak to Will McAvoy, Lewis and Sharon. She asked the three what makes America the greatest country on Earth. McAvoy rebuked her naivete and offered data undermining her assumption. ("We Just Decided To")

Jenny is a minor character in the first, second and third seasons. She is played by co-star Riley Voelkel.

She also appears in Episode 10 of Season 1. She visits the newsroom in hopes to get hired for an internship. Upon discovering her presence, Will confronts her and presses her to ask her "idiot question" again, although this time, he simply replies, "You do," and tells Mac to hire her for the internship.
