Ron Ostrow is an American actor. He plays Passenger 1 in the HBO series The Newsroom. He co-stars in the first season episode "5/1". He is a former room mate of The Newsroom creator Aaron Sorkin. He has appeared in Sorkin's earlier series Sports Night, The West Wing, and Sports Night. He played Richard in the Sports Night episode "Nevada Day: Part One". He had a recurring role as the reporter John in The West Wing. He had a recurring role as the studio technician Will in Sports Night. He also had roles in the Sorkin scripted films A Few Good Men, Bulworth, and Charlie Wilson's War.
