Supervising Producer is a credit in television. It is a senior role for a producer answering to the Co-executive Producers and Executive Producers. They supervise a significant aspect of the production (for example the writing) and work with more junior producers on it.
Charlie Goldstein was a supervising producer for The Newsroom pilot "We Just Decided To" only. He oversaw production issues such as budget and scheduling. Co-executive Producer Denis Biggs took over these responsibilities for the rest of the first season leaving the Supervising Producer role vacant.
