Zach Hunt, born February 2, 1977 in Rochester, Michigan, USA, is a film television director. He is a Second Assistant Director (AD) for the first season of The Newsroom. He has worked as a production assistant in film and television including the projects Deja Vu, Lords of Dogtown, Grey's Anatomy and the HBO western drama Deadwood. He became an AD and worked on the films Due Date and Terminator: Salvation. He returned to HBO as a second assistant director for Big Love. He worked with both of The Newsroom First ADs Kenneth B. Roth and Mark Tobey on Deadwood and with Roth on Big Love.
